Description
We are looking for someone who wants to work part-time at the reception desk at Hotel Tjamstan. As a receptionist, you are one of the first people our guests meet and play an important role in creating a professional, personal, and welcoming experience.
Hotel Tjamstan operates a broad range of services including a hotel, cabins, hostel, conference facilities, restaurant, camping, and alpine activities. This means that reception work is varied and no two days need be alike.
This position is ideal for someone who wants to work as needed and can fill in during sick leave, vacations, and periods of high occupancy. The need varies throughout the year and is greatest during our busier seasons.
Job Responsibilities
The work includes:
Check-in and check-out of hotel, cabin, and hostel guests
Bookings and modifications to existing reservations
Guest service on-site, by phone, and by email
Payments, cash handling, and simple administrative tasks
Providing guests with information about the hotel, the Tjamstan area, and activities in Malå
Handling conference bookings and other group reservations
Selling and providing information about our various services and offers
Collaboration with hotel, restaurant, housekeeping, and other departments
The work is independent but also involves close collaboration with other staff members at the facility.
Qualifications
Above all, we are looking for someone who is service-oriented, responsible, and enjoys meeting people. You need to remain calm even when many things happen at once and be comfortable making your own decisions in daily work.
You need to:
Have good ability to communicate in Swedish and English
Be experienced working with computers and digital systems
Be able to work independently and take responsibility
Be thorough and organized
Have a professional and positive demeanor
Experience from hotels, reception, service, retail, or similar work is a plus, but the right personality and attitude are equally important.
Additional language skills are a plus.
Terms
The employment is a part-time position as needed.
Working hours vary and may be scheduled on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays. Shifts are primarily during day and evening hours.
Start date by mutual agreement.
Salary and other employment conditions according to applicable collective agreement.
