Hotel and Conference Manager

Wendelsbergs Folk High School is seeking a Hotel and Conference Manager who wants to combine business acumen with social purpose. Position available fall 2026. The Hotel and Conference Manager is responsible for hotel, hostel, and conference operations. This includes leading a team of approximately 10 people, planning operations, sales, pricing, marketing, and developing both accommodation and conference services. The work is conducted in close collaboration with the head chef and other activities at the school. We are looking for someone with relevant education and several years of experience running and developing small-scale hotel operations. You have a natural sense of hospitality and service and enjoy customer interactions. You need to feel driven to develop operations in a sober environment and experience from mission-driven organizations is a plus. We would also appreciate your experience and interest in digital marketing. Your leadership is characterized by clarity and strong decision-making ability combined with good listening skills. Administrative tasks are part of the role, so organization and orderliness are important. You will also be operational in daily activities and help out at various events. Scheduled evening and weekend work is included in the position. Wendelsberg – we educate world-improvers and life-enjoyers Wendelsbergs Folk High School is one of Movendi Sweden's (formerly IOGT-NTO's) two folk high schools and has offered education in a sober environment since 1908. Wendelsberg is primarily a school but also hosts several other important activities. We operate a hostel, hotel, and some restaurant services. The hostel is affiliated with STF. We present public performances in our theater and offer conference facilities in a unique setting. Wendelsberg has just over 40 dedicated employees and a couple of hundred full-time students, half of whom live in our boarding facilities. The hotel/hostel is open year-round with 28 rooms. During summer, we convert boarding accommodations to hostel use, adding approximately 50 additional rooms. Wendelsberg is located in Mölnlycke – just under 20 minutes from Gothenburg's city center.
