About the Operation Hearing care is part of the Eye/Hearing Care business area and is responsible for rehabilitation, habilitation, interpreter services, and technical support for residents of all ages in the region with hearing loss, deafness, deafblindness, or other hearing problems. We are located in Sundsvall, Härnösand, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik. In total, we have 40 employees with combined expertise. This includes audiologists, receptionists, technicians, engineers, educators, special educators, a social worker, as well as a psychologist and physician, all of whom provide early coordinated and comprehensive services based on various areas of expertise. Technical Hearing Care staff are based in Härnösand and Sundsvall at their respective Hearing Centers. Some work is also performed at the Örnsköldsvik and Sollefteå Hearing Centers to provide service to all residents of the region. We are now recruiting two hearing care technicians for the technical hearing center. The positions are permanent, full-time appointments with a start date by agreement. One position is located in Sundsvall and the other in Härnösand. Job Responsibilities Your responsibilities as a hearing care technician include: Repair of hearing aids Repair and installation of hearing aid equipment and assistive devices Installations take place in patients' homes and school environments. You will have work assignments that extend across the entire region. According to a rotating schedule, you will work at another location three days every fifth week, including overnight stays. You will be part of a well-established team where the exchange of experience and knowledge is a matter of course. We have a training/onboarding period where you, as a hearing care technician, receive tasks adapted to your prior knowledge. The role of hearing care technician is a varied and independent position with personal responsibility.
