JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This is your assignment with us Create joy through food for our seniors You prepare nutritious, delicious, and visually appealing food. For our elderly, the meal is one of the day's absolute highlights, and your craft makes a direct difference in their quality of life and well-being. Ensure good and safe specialized diets With your knowledge, you ensure that medical specialized diets, allergies, and texture-adapted food (dysphagia) are prepared with the same high quality, care, and precision as the standard menu. Shape the kitchen of the future together with your chef colleagues You operate, develop, and make your mark on our brand new, modern kitchen at Brukshöjden. Here you will build a strong team where collaboration and new ideas are encouraged. We want you to have a natural focus on hygiene and food safety, as you collectively are responsible for ensuring that self-monitoring and the HACCP system's strict guidelines are followed carefully in daily operations. Working hours and flexibility You will work according to a fixed schedule that includes weekend shifts. Since flexibility is one of our strengths, you may also need to support and spread your culinary joy in the municipality's other kitchens in schools and elderly care in Hofors and Torsåker as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Who are you? To thrive in this role, we are looking for someone who has upper secondary school chef training or another qualification that we consider equivalent. You also have documented knowledge of specialized diets and nutrition for the elderly. It is highly meritable if you have previously worked in elderly care, hospitals, or school kitchens, and if you additionally have experience with digital meal planning systems or hold a driver's license, that's a great plus. Since you will operate and develop our new kitchen together with your colleagues, you have very good collaboration skills. You work well with other people and communicate in a responsive and smooth manner. Work in the kitchen requires great precision, which means you are quality-conscious and careful to ensure that the organization's goals, self-monitoring, and guidelines are followed. Since we cook for our elderly, you are naturally service-oriented – you have a desire to help others, are accommodating in your approach, and always prioritize the diner's quality of life. Finally, you are a flexible person who easily adapts to changing circumstances and can imagine supporting the municipality's other kitchens as needed. Salary form: Monthly salary.
