We are now seeking an assistive technology technician who wants to help ensure that the municipality's assistive devices are safe, functional, and accessible for our users. With us, you will have varied work where technology, service, and human interaction meet. The work is conducted both in our assistive devices facility and out in the municipality's operations. You will work closely with your technician colleagues, care personnel, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other professionals. In connection with service and repairs, you will also meet users in their daily lives, which requires professional and service-oriented conduct. Job Duties As an assistive technology technician, you work with service and maintenance of the municipality's assistive devices to ensure high quality and safe use. Job duties include, among other things: - Service, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of assistive devices such as hospital beds, patient lifts, ceiling lifts, wheelchairs, and other assistive devices. - Reconditioning of assistive devices. - Installation of alarms. - Transportation. - Goods receipt and certain warehouse work. - Procurement of spare parts and consumable materials. - Collaboration with other professionals within the operation. - Participation in projects, development work, and procurement within the operational area. The work is varied and includes both workshop work and work out in the operations. Qualifications We are looking for someone with upper secondary education with a technical focus or other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have a genuine interest in technology, good mechanical understanding, and experience with service, maintenance, or repair of technical equipment. You are practically minded, thorough, and able to independently solve technical problems. For this position, you must: - Have good technical understanding and problem-solving ability. - Have good computer skills. - Communicate well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. - Have a valid category B driver's license and good driving experience with a manual transmission. It is an advantage if you have experience with assistive devices, medical technical equipment, or other technical service assignments. Personal Qualities Since the work is performed both in a workshop environment and out in the operations, you have many contact points with care personnel, users, and relatives. Therefore, it is important that you are service-oriented, responsive, and have professional conduct.
