Salaspils Municipality Administration Central Office announces a competition for the position of Hydraulic Engineering Technician in the Technical Department (permanent position; occupation code 2142 11) 1. Basic Qualification Requirements for the Position (Required Education and Skills) Higher education (Bachelor's degree) in environmental management, hydraulic engineering, land reclamation, construction, environmental engineering, or an equivalent field, or a final-year student in the aforementioned study programs. Hydromeliorative construction engineering specialist certificate in one of the following specializations: design of reclamation systems, construction management, or construction supervision; design of hydraulic structures, construction management, or construction supervision - will be considered an advantage. At least two years of professional experience within the last seven years in the relevant field – design, construction management, construction supervision, or an equivalent position. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, web browsers, and email systems, as well as ability to work with specialized software, office equipment, and information sources. Knowledge and practical experience in document management, as well as preparation and development of regulatory acts and decision drafts. Understanding of reclamation systems, including design, construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance of drainage and stormwater sewerage systems. Knowledge of open ditch, drainage, and stormwater sewerage system construction processes, construction materials, technologies, and principles of structure operation. Ability to obtain and analyze information, make substantiated conclusions, express and justify one's opinion argumentatively, and present publicly. Ability to resolve non-standard situations in the professional field, make decisions, and maintain work capacity in stressful situations. Good communication and cooperation skills. State language proficiency at C2 level in accordance with regulatory requirements (except for persons who obtained primary, secondary, or higher education in accredited educational programs in Latvian). Category B motor vehicle driver's license. 2. Main Duties of the Position: Develop technical regulations for building projects, conditions for detailed and local plans, provide opinions on buildings' readiness for operation, and develop excavation conditions related to drainage, open ditches, and stormwater sewerage systems. Review and coordinate engineering topographic plans and building projects in accordance with issued technical regulations. Verify that reclamation systems, stormwater sewerage systems, and other hydraulic structures built and prepared for operation by the municipality comply with regulatory requirements, approved plans, specifications, and standards. Provide consultations on reclamation systems and stormwater sewerage construction matters. Maintain cooperation with ZMNI, LAD, and other state institutions managing reclamation systems and their cadastres, and consult with leading Latvia specialists in reclamation and stormwater sewerage fields regarding operation and maintenance of reclamation systems owned by the municipality. 3. We offer: Full-time employment (40 hours per week) for an indefinite period, monthly salary of 1980 EUR before tax deduction with the possibility to increase remuneration according to employee competence and work performance after the probation period (maximum possible monthly salary 2180 EUR), health insurance (after probation period) and social benefits, opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and skills, and support for idea implementation. 6.
