Herrestorpskolan Seeks Teacher of Home and Consumer Science, Grades 5-9

Herrestorpskolan is located in a quiet and pleasant area on the eastern outskirts of Vellinge. The school has approximately 480 students, grades F-9. Buses to and from Malmö run 3-4 times per hour. In recent years, the school has undergone renovation in several phases. This has resulted in an accessible and modern learning environment adapted to today's and tomorrow's needs. There are opportunities to use the facilities flexibly to meet each student's needs. All grade levels are housed in the same building, but the different stages have separate sections. The library and school cafeteria are located in the school's center and serve as natural meeting places. The school also has a large and well-equipped gymnasium that opened in September 2019. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now seeking a certified primary school teacher with the qualifications to teach Home and Consumer Science in grades 5-9 at Herrestorpskolan. This is a parental leave substitute position lasting just over a year, from November 2026 through December 2027 (possibly longer). The position is 75-100%. You are a confident and clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a learning environment where each student can develop optimally. As a teacher with us, you conduct work that places student learning at the center. You are a dedicated teacher who can inspire and motivate students in their knowledge development. You have positive expectations of your students and the ability to communicate these in a motivating manner. You approach teaching from the students' perspective as you, together with other staff and leadership, organize, drive, and develop the school. You collaborate easily and communicate well - your students know what they can do, where they're going, and how to get there. As a candidate for this position, you have strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Home and Consumer Science. We look forward to your application!
