Helenaskolan is located in central Skövde, near the travel center with good connections. We are a secondary school for grades 7-9 with approximately 500 students and currently have just over 60 employees working at the school. The school has an implemented operations and development organization that, together with school management, educators, student services, resource teams and administration, meets the challenges we face in operational and strategic work. Our 6 lead teachers direct work on our prioritized development areas including language and knowledge development methods, mathematics, and study environment and attendance. Helenaskolan has a student services team consisting of a counselor, school nurse, study and career counselor, special education teacher, special educator, psychologist and speech therapist as well as school management.

WORK TASKS
Work in our team with students in need of special education, both individually and in groups. We place great emphasis on collaboration and you will be part of a work team that focuses on students' both academic and personal development. The work day can change quickly depending on operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you with experience working in secondary school grades 7-9 with children/students facing various challenges. You need to be interested in supporting students and colleagues in all matters and collaborate with guardians, student services and school management. You must be responsive and flexible to students' and the organization's special needs.
You should also have good computer skills, be open to new working methods and be able to work with individual adaptation as well as together with teachers and other staff. You have good structure in your work and yourself systematically evaluate and improve your efforts. You are also expected to create motivation and curiosity in students through a positive and trusting human perspective. You have high expectations for development at both group and individual level and support each student in their development. Previous work and/or education with students and young people with neurodevelopmental/behavioral difficulties is particularly meritorious.
Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months, start date: August 10, 2026.
To begin working in preschool, school, after-school care and other educational activities, you must provide an extract from the police criminal record register. The extract is valid for one year and is ordered from the National Police Board www.polisen.se.
