Description:

Do you want to drive some of our most extensive and strategically important projects? With us, you get to take on projects that matter. We are now looking for an experienced project manager with technical understanding who wants to hold together complex initiatives from first idea to functioning reality! We collect and receive waste from residents and businesses in Eskilstuna and Strängnäs, and transform it into new resources. It is a task that requires smart technology, long-term investments, and the ability to develop solutions that work in practice, for people, the environment, and our operations. We are at the forefront and we strive to maintain that position. Eskilstuna was the first in the world to offer color sorting of six different material types to residential homes. The same system has also been implemented in Strängnäs, among others. In Eskilstuna, we operate ReTuna Återbruksgalleria, Sweden's first shopping gallery for reuse. Since its opening, the gallery has been awarded prizes and recognition in the environmental field. Your responsibilities As a project manager, you ensure that the projects we drive are planned, have momentum, and are followed up in a structured, efficient, and sustainable manner. The role is central for the operation to be able to implement both ongoing and future investments with high quality and clear governance, especially since several of the projects are complex, technically advanced, and span multiple years. Right now, for example, Color Sorting 2.0 is underway, one of our larger development projects where technology, behavior change, logistics, work environment, and societal benefit need to go hand in hand. You lead technical projects from idea to finished solution. So that our investments are not only planned correctly from the start, but also result in solutions that actually work in everyday life and create value for the operation and society. You create structure, bring together the right competencies, and hold together the project's time, budget, quality, and work environment. This is crucial for us to be able to drive multiple complex projects in parallel with high quality and without losing momentum or control. You manage risks and create momentum when many perspectives need to meet—technology, operations, finance, and suppliers. This ensures that our decisions are well thought out, that we can act proactively when conditions change, and that projects actually move forward. "The best thing about working at ESEM and recycling is getting to develop the operation to meet future needs with great freedom and responsibility together with colleagues"—says Mikael Johansson, Project and Development Engineer Recycling Education and previous experience We are curious about you who thrive when you need to both think strategically and get things done. You have the ability to hold the big picture together, are confident in creating direction, and have a talent for bringing people along. You get energy from managing tasks, stay focused under pressure, and are a business-minded problem solver. When conditions change, you don't lose momentum—instead you prioritize and find the next smart step forward. You have a higher technical engineering education or equivalent technical education. Alternatively, several years of relevant experience. You have several years of experience driving projects from idea to handover where you have been responsible for budget, schedule, work environment, and risk analysis. Where you feel confident in dialogue with both specialists, managers, and suppliers. Experience leading cross-functional teams is a plus. Welcome to help make the future better!
