About the Position
As a utility engineer, you will become an important part of the Water and Wastewater department. Your role is broad, with a focus on water and wastewater issues related to new connections, rates, easement agreements, and legal matters. The position also includes investigations and work related to operational areas, consultations, and referrals. You will contribute to developing both the operations and the public infrastructure that people in Hedemora use every day. In addition to your water and wastewater work, once you've settled in, you will also take on investigations related to waste management. If you already have knowledge in this area, it is a merit, but otherwise you will have the opportunity to grow into the tasks with support from experienced colleagues.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in legal and operational issues within water and wastewater, and ideally also in waste management, who is comfortable explaining regulations clearly and pedagogically through dialogue with customers and other stakeholders. You enjoy working in a structured manner and solving problems, have an ability to see the big picture, and are willing to take responsibility for moving your issues forward. You have relevant higher education or university training, for example in water, environment, civil engineering, water and wastewater technology, or work experience that we consider equivalent. Experience from a municipality or municipal company is a merit, as is knowledge of GIS or waste legislation.
