Head of Operations for Growing Listed Medtech Company

About the Company You will join a Swedish listed medical technology company based in Lund that develops and sells medical systems for healthcare. It is a smaller organization with short decision-making paths, close collaboration between different functions, and high personal responsibility. Responsibilities As Head of Operations, you have overall responsibility for ensuring daily delivery while driving the operational transformation required for continued growth. The role encompasses the entire chain from forecasting and order planning to procurement, supplier management, production setup, delivery, and follow-up. You combine operational responsibility with a strong focus on improvement and build the structures, processes, and collaborations required for a scalable business. A central part of the role is to develop and manage collaboration with external production partners and suppliers. You ensure right capacity, quality, and commercial terms through active follow-up and development of the supplier base. This means driving improvement work together with international contract manufacturers, developing existing collaborations, and identifying opportunities for consolidation or supplier changes when the current setup is not long-term sustainable. The role requires you to be present with production partners, build strong relationships, and drive improvement initiatives on-site. You are also responsible for developing the company's planning and system support by establishing structure around forecasting, S&OP, and order planning, as well as further developing the use of the ERP system Monitor for increased data quality, transparency, and planning accuracy. The business operates according to ISO 13485, which means high requirements for documentation, traceability, and compliance. With many internal and external contact points, you have a key role in ensuring both daily delivery capability and the company's long-term scalability. The position includes some travel outside Sweden. Own and drive the transformation of the company's operations and supply chain structure to support growth. Ensure the entire flow from forecasting, orders, procurement, and planning to delivery and distribution. Drive improvement initiatives with suppliers and production partners and identify opportunities for consolidation and efficiency improvements. Responsible for supplier management, negotiations, contracts, and cost-reducing initiatives. Drive improvements in ERP, data quality, forecasting, S&OP, and operational follow-up. Ensure quality, delivery accuracy, and reduced operational vulnerability as the company expands. Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities Requirements Several years of experience within operations, supply chain, and/or procurement. Experience working with contract manufacturers and external production partners. Experience with supplier development and improvement work together with manufacturing partners. Experience with supplier negotiations, commercial agreements, and procurement processes. Experience with ERP systems, preferably Monitor or similar. Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Valid driver's license. Desirable Experience from medtech, food, or other regulatory-driven business. Experience with international suppliers and production partners and experience working in global supplier networks. Experience setting up or improving flows in ERP. Experience from smaller or growing companies where the role combined strategy and operational execution.
