Description:

Are you a developer who thrives when software meets hardware? We're looking for you to work on developing advanced test and verification systems for electronic warfare solutions in fighter aircraft. Here you won't just write code – you'll analyze, debug, and verify complex systems where software, electronics, and hardware work together. About the role: In this position, you'll develop Java-based test platforms used to verify safety-critical systems. You'll work closely with both real hardware and systems engineers to understand how systems function at a deep level and ensure they work as intended before deployment. This is a role for someone who appreciates technical complexity, enjoys understanding the entire system chain, and finds it equally interesting to analyze signals and hardware behavior as writing robust code. As a software developer, you'll be part of an agile team responsible for developing and advancing internal test platforms and test tools. These platforms are used to verify and ensure quality of advanced embedded systems that are part of modern electronic warfare solutions for fighter aircraft. The role combines software development, test automation, and technical problem-solving. You won't just develop the platform itself but also work closely with integrators, systems engineers, and other development teams to understand the systems being tested and create effective test solutions. The work is characterized by long development cycles, technical complexity, and close collaboration between different disciplines. Examples of work tasks: Develop and advance Java-based test platforms for verifying advanced defense systems Integrate and verify software against real hardware and electronic subsystems Develop automated tests for complex embedded systems Debug and analyze problems that arise from the interaction between software, electronics, and communication interfaces Work closely with systems engineers and integration engineers to understand and verify system functionality Participate in lab environments where you test and analyze system behaviors at component, subsystem, and system levels Contribute to the development of test methods, CI/CD flows, and technical approaches We're looking for someone who: Has a degree in civil or technical engineering in a relevant field, such as computer engineering, electrical engineering, or technical physics Has worked for at least three years in environments where software is integrated with electronics, embedded systems, or other technical hardware Has experience troubleshooting and analyzing problems in complex technical systems where multiple components interact Enjoys understanding how systems work in depth, not just how the code functions Has experience with agile development methods Speaks and writes fluent Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work Merits: Very good Java skills Experience in test development or test automation of embedded systems Knowledge and experience with C, C++, and Python Experience with Maven, Jenkins, Git, or Eclipse RCP Experience with CI/CD and modern development processes Interest in advanced technical systems, aviation technology, or defense technology Experience using AI-based development tools to streamline work Who are you? We believe you're someone driven by solving problems rather than just writing code. You're curious, technically interested, and thrive in an environment where you need to dive into complex systems and collaborate with others to find the right solution. You have a structured and solution-oriented work approach. You also appreciate working in a team, enjoy sharing your knowledge, and aren't afraid to take initiative when something needs improvement.
