Job Responsibilities Whether you've worked in the field at facilities, in train control, or with technical system solutions behind the scenes, here you'll have the opportunity to use your experience in a new way - in a role that combines technology, operations, and development of the railway's most critical systems. As a systems technician, you work to provide train traffic controllers with the right tools to manage and monitor railway traffic. You'll be part of a dedicated team responsible for operations, maintenance, and further development of signal and train control systems. Common job responsibilities: - Perform operations and system maintenance of train control systems, as well as Switchboards 95 and M11 - to ensure high availability in traffic - Troubleshoot and resolve errors during regular working hours (8-16:30) and during on-call duty - Participate in testing and commissioning of new systems and changes to the facility - Be an important link between operations, management, and ongoing projects in signal and train control systems - Participate in development and management activities in both production and test environments For the right person, we offer structured onboarding with training and practical experience during the first year - both on-site and at other locations - to ensure you have a confident start in the role. Qualifications We're looking for someone with good communication skills who thrives in a role where you collaborate with others, build good relationships both internally and externally, and share your knowledge. Furthermore, you are proactive and actively contribute to developing and improving operations, as well as having the ability to see the bigger picture and connections in complex issues. We're looking for someone who has: - At least a complete upper secondary education - Training in railway signal technology or train control systems, or equivalent work experience in one of these areas - Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written - A driver's license for a car It is advantageous if you have: - Experience with train control systems and/or local operating systems for signal switchboards - Experience in, for example, network technology, IT security, IT operations, SCADA systems, or similar - Competence in Switchboards 95/M11 - Competence in ERTMS/ETCS Other Information The position is based in Gothenburg or Norrköping. This recruitment includes web-based tests as part of the selection process. Since there are safety-critical work tasks within the railway, you may be required to undergo a health examination - you will receive information about this later in the recruitment process. Since our work largely requires us to be on-site, remote work is rare. Travel related to training and testing activities at the supplier's facility occurs regularly but not particularly frequently, approximately a couple of times per year. On-call duty will eventually be included as part of regular work tasks after completed basic training. The position is classified as a security position. Employment requires a satisfactory result in the security vetting, which is conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
