Practical Assistant – Self-directed help with real tasks on Gotland I'm looking for a reliable, handy, and practically-minded person who can help me with everyday tasks around and inside the house and workshop here on Gotland. I'm a filmmaker, adventurer, and former builder with extensive experience doing everything myself – until a motorcycle accident and spinal cord injury changed things. I'm now paralyzed (quadriplegic) and need someone with the hands I no longer have. This isn't a typical care job. What I need is someone who can handle the rest: repairs, maintenance, gardening, tools, machinery, vehicles – all the practical things I used to do myself, and still oversee. I have good oversight and can provide guidance if needed, but prefer not to micromanage. You need to be able to work independently and not cause problems when I'm not watching. You should be comfortable with: – Carpentry, woodwork, or general repairs – Basic mechanical work and tool handling – Gardening and physical outdoor tasks You don't need to be an expert in all three – it's enough if you're skilled in one area. If needed, you may also need to step in and help with simple everyday tasks like making sandwiches, drinks, or similar if regular staff are away. You must have a driver's license and your own car.
