Welcome to Alingsås! As an employee of our municipality, you have every opportunity to be part of developing our operations and your workplace. With nearly 4,000 employees, we are large enough to drive change while remaining small enough that each person can have an impact and space for their ideas. There is room for innovators here. Together we create Alingsås!
The Social Services Department's Employment Market Unit (AME) has the primary task of supporting residents who are unemployed in various ways toward sustainable self-sufficiency. AME works, among other things, on assignment from the Swedish Public Employment Service and the Support and Maintenance unit at the Social Services Department.
Do you want a job where every day you get to contribute to people growing, discovering their abilities, and taking steps closer to work or studies? With us, you get a varied and meaningful role where practical work is combined with educational support, coaching, and relationship building.
Our activities offer participants the opportunity to develop their work capacity through meaningful and individually adapted work tasks where they are given the conditions to discover their strengths, build self-confidence, and develop the abilities required for the next step toward self-sufficiency through work or studies.
We work together to create the best possible conditions for each individual. This means that we take shared responsibility for the entire operation and help each other where needs arise. As an employee with us, you therefore need to thrive in a flexible environment where cooperation, humility, and a willingness to contribute to the whole are important parts of everyday life.
We are now seeking a supervisor for our operation.
When you start with us, we offer you:
• A secure employment
• Opportunity for vacation exchange
• Extra vacation days when you turn 40 years old
• Competence development plan
• Parental benefit supplement
• Wellness allowance and favorable discounts via E-passi
• Bicycle benefit
Warmly welcome to apply!

WORK TASKS
As a supervisor with us, you have an important role in creating structure, motivation, and development for participants in our practical activities. You work closely with individuals with different conditions and needs and support them in developing their independence, responsibility, and work capacity.
Supervision can take place within our own practical activities at Actus, in collaboration with other activities within the municipality, or at various workplaces. You will primarily supervise participants in practical work tasks within, for example, carpentry, reuse, and gardening. The role also involves supporting other parts of the operation as needed, such as the kitchen or at external workplaces where participants are located.
For the operation to function optimally, all employees need to contribute where needs arise. This means that you are flexible, humble, and see the bigger picture. You take shared responsibility with your colleagues to ensure that all participants receive safe, quality, and developmental supervision at every work shift, regardless of work area.
Through your daily presence, you support, motivate, and coach participants in planning, adapting, and completing work tasks. You contribute to ensuring that each individual has the opportunity to develop based on their own conditions and move toward work or self-sufficiency.
The work also includes:
• planning and organizing work tasks based on participants' needs and operational goals,
• adapting activities and work tasks to create opportunities for development and progression,
• working together with case managers and occupational therapists to contribute to mapping, assessment, and follow-up of participants' resources, obstacles, and support needs,
• documenting participants' development and progression,
• collaborating with colleagues, municipal activities, and external stakeholders,
• contributing to the development of the operation's working methods and approaches.
You become part of an operation where we continuously develop our working methods and where cooperation, solution focus, and participation are important parts of the work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
• relevant post-secondary education, preferably higher education or university degree
• experience working as a supervisor, work leader, or equivalent in practical activities,
• experience in practical work, for example in construction, carpentry, property management, or service,
• experience working with people with different needs and conditions
• B-class driver's license
• good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
It is meriting if you have:
• experience in work-oriented rehabilitation,
• knowledge and experience of resource-strengthening methods such as MI, BIP, ACT, KUB, or work with visual support.
To succeed in the role, you are self-directed and take responsibility for planning, structuring, and driving your work forward. You are flexible and able to adapt easily to changed conditions, where you see opportunities in development and new ways of working. With good pedagogical insight, you adapt your communication and support based on the individual's needs and conditions. You also have good collaboration skills and actively contribute to positive and solution-focused collaboration with colleagues and collaborating partners.
Employment type: Permanent employment.
