About the Job As an enforcement officer, you primarily work with deciding on appropriate measures to regulate debts. To prevent people from falling into severe debt, contact with customers, employers, and other authorities becomes an important part of your work. Your role is to be the neutral party that helps both those who have not been paid and those who need to pay. You investigate assets, make decisions about appropriate enforcement measures of varying scope and complexity. This means you analyze and assess different types of documentation. You request supplementary information via phone, email, and letter in contact with various parties. Based on laws and regulations, you assess the documentation and make decisions. The cases you handle require legal certainty, speed, and efficiency while maintaining quality. You undergo internal training for six months where practical experience alternates with theory, and you will also have a supervisor who supports you initially. The training includes, among other things, legal studies, customer service, and communication techniques. You are part of a section that collectively is responsible for results, planning, and work distribution. Everyone who works at the Enforcement Authority contributes to combating crime. Your work tasks include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and notifying other authorities of suspected crimes. As an enforcement officer, you might, for example, alert other authorities if a person is receiving benefits on incorrect grounds. This could result in you helping to stop incorrect payments from the welfare system. In Haparanda, all of the country's insolvent estates are processed. As an enforcement officer, you will primarily work with insolvent estates. The work involves sending payment demands to estate beneficiaries, initiating investigations and making distress decisions, and handling service of distress decisions. In your work, you have considerable contact with estate beneficiaries, claimants, and other parties by phone and email. Work location: Haparanda. Good to Know The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as an enforcement officer. The Enforcement Authority offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer. Working for the state means you follow the state's values. Special requirements are also placed on judgment, security awareness, and adherence to applicable laws. We ask questions at the interview about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked to references. We also obtain information about debts registered with the Enforcement Authority, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions. Information obtained is weighed in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position. Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with a register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment.
