About the unit and position FMTIS has four implementation units (GE) in Sweden that maintain the Swedish Armed Forces' command and control systems within IT and telecommunications. The position is located at GE West. The unit works with maintenance of the Swedish Armed Forces' telecommunications network, electrical/mechanical, radio, sensor and surveillance systems, as well as installation, operation and maintenance of various IT systems. Business security within the Swedish Armed Forces is an umbrella term for work aimed at preventing accidents, incidents and injuries – for both personnel and equipment. As a Business Security Officer, you work closely with the unit chief and management in areas such as occupational environment, external environment and fire safety. Work related to electrical safety and BVKF (flammable goods and chemical compounds) occurs to a limited extent, where primary responsibility lies with another specialist function. In this role, you contribute primarily by supporting these areas from an occupational environment and coordination perspective, rather than being responsible for the technical or operational aspects yourself. The role involves driving development work, coordinating and following up initiatives, and preparing decision-making documents for senior management. You will also have an important function as quality coordinator, focusing on deviation management and follow-up – often related to occupational environment-related matters. You will be part of the GE West staff, which consists of approximately ten employees geographically distributed throughout the unit's area, mostly civilian staff. The staff provides support to the unit chief in areas including personnel, security, planning and administration. Main responsibilities Provide qualified management support in business security, for example occupational environment, external environment and fire safety Support managers in conducting risk assessments and business security analyses Follow up and maintain routines, guidelines and governing documents Cooperate with internal and external stakeholders Contribute to training and competence development in the field Other administrative tasks within the staff The position involves travel within the unit's area; operations are geographically dispersed within Military Region West.
