As an employee of the Swedish Armed Forces, you will be part of one of Sweden's largest government agencies. Our main task is to develop weather forecasts and oceanographic data for the Swedish Armed Forces' units and headquarters. The work is carried out around the clock/year-round with the aim of increasing the Swedish Armed Forces' operational security and effectiveness. METOCC employs approximately 50 employees divided into three departments (Production Department, Education Department, and Methods and Systems Department). We have an even distribution between officers and civilians as well as between women and men. The Education Department is responsible for most weather training in the Swedish Armed Forces, both for our own personnel and other Swedish Armed Forces employees, but occasionally also for civilian meteorology students in collaboration with universities. We are also responsible for recruiting future Defense Meteorologists. We are now looking for a civilian employee to work primarily with recruitment activities but also with other administrative tasks in the department. Main Duties As a handler at METOCC education department, you will work closely with the unit's managers and employees. The work involves significant personal responsibility for planning and structuring your work. Sometimes you work alone, but usually the work takes place in a work team consisting of both civilian and military employees. Work tasks vary over time based on the unit's needs, but a large part of the work involves attraction and recruitment for the position of Defense Meteorologist, which for example includes: Carrying out parts of the recruitment process, such as managing contact with candidate applicants and booking admission tests Planning, administering, and conducting recruitment-promoting activities and study visits to attract future personnel Collaborating with other functions within the unit Collaborating and maintaining contact with other units, government agencies, and universities Managing contact with existing meteorology aspirants undergoing training REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Approved upper secondary school diploma Current and relevant experience with administrative work B-category driver's license Good ability to express yourself well, both verbally and in writing, in Swedish and English Good administrative skills Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently and in a structured manner and finding solutions to any problems that arise.
