About the role and your responsibilities As a case handler with us, you will have a meaningful and varied assignment where law, public affairs, and meetings with people go hand in hand. You will be an important part of our case handling team with 11 committed colleagues who together investigate the need for guardianship, recruit guardians, and are responsible for ongoing supervision of guardianship matters. You will conduct cases in court and prepare statements. Periodically, you will also review financial reports and make decisions on compensation. The responsibilities are both independent and collaborative. You will work closely with colleagues in the unit and have the opportunity to contribute to various development projects in the field. The role may also involve providing training for guardians or other partners, as well as representing the organization in external contexts. We are looking for you We are looking for someone with an academic degree in law, social sciences, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You also have experience in case handling and investigative work in the public sector or similar activities. It is advantageous if you have experience in case handling within supervision activities or the public guardian field. We also view experience in family law or conducting cases in court positively. About the workplace We are part of the Labor Market and Social Services Administration where approximately 600 employees provide support to Lund residents who need social services. Together, we ensure that children and young people have as good an upbringing as possible. We work from the perspective of the whole family's situation and ensure that no one suffers harm. This involves providing support to adults with harmful substance use and addiction or mental disabilities, to those who need financial assistance, guardians, administrators, or support to be able to study or work, as well as to refugees. The Public Guardian Authority is a supervisory body that exercises supervision over guardians, administrators, and conservators in Lund and Eslöv municipalities. The activity aims to offer social support for people who need help protecting their rights, managing their assets, and/or caring for their person so that they are protected from suffering legal losses. The unit consists of 11 case handlers and 5 administrators as well as a unit manager who together, on behalf of the board, conduct the activities with great independence and commitment.
