About the Position As a handler at the Operations Staff, your work tasks will span many different areas, with the main focus being to support the unit administratively. Coordination and planning between departments, units, or external parties are part of your daily work. The position requires a high ability to structure large amounts of information primarily in digital systems, as well as the ability to explain orally and collaborate with others. Main Responsibilities Responsible for handling and following up on administrative tasks within your assigned area of responsibility Participate in and drive the staff's preparatory work within the unit's operational areas Participate in and/or lead complex working groups for specific tasks Coordinate major tasks within the unit Support your own department with various administrative tasks REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Secondary education (gymnasium) Good knowledge and experience working with the Microsoft Office package Experience in handling and administration Fluent Swedish and English, spoken and written Class B driver's license Personal Qualities FMTIS's mission within and outside the Swedish Armed Forces involves rapid tempo changes, and operations within the Operations Unit are in an expansive phase. As a prospective handler, you are stimulated by this and have the ability to quickly shift focus between different tasks and to analyze and process information. To succeed in your role as handler, structure, initiative, and flexibility are important to you. You are a natural team player but also have the ability to work independently under your own responsibility. As a handler, you follow up on tasks within your own area of responsibility on a daily basis, while your other tasks also span longer periods and involve collaboration with multiple parties. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. The regiment has overall responsibility for the Swedish Armed Forces' technical command and control system that supports military operations at sea, on land, and in the air – in Sweden and abroad. The Operations Unit is one of thirteen units within FMTIS and is responsible for performing the function of the Swedish Armed Forces' network operator, monitoring and managing problems and incidents, and performing maintenance and remote support measures in the Swedish Armed Forces' IT and telecommunications systems. The Staff is one of the Operations Unit's 8 departments. About the Department The Staff Department is responsible for development within the unit and supports both unit management and the unit's other departments in the preparation, coordination, and follow-up of assignments/tasks. The department has both civilian and military personnel with two locations.
