VAT Compliance Officer

About the Job You will work with VAT matters and investigation of cases that vary in scope and complexity. This involves analyzing and assessing various types of documentation. You will request additional information via phone, mail, and digital mailboxes in contact with businesses. Based on applicable laws and regulations, you will assess the documentation and make decisions. You will also work to some extent with customer meetings by phone with both individuals and businesses. You plan your own workday and manage your cases both independently and in collaboration with others. You work closely with your colleagues and support each other mutually. The work is qualified and you will learn and gain new knowledge both in breadth and depth. You also contribute to our continuous improvement efforts in daily operations and choose effective solutions. You think innovatively, take risks, and act decisively. You have flexible working hours, and it goes without saying that we ensure you have balance between work and leisure. You will belong to Business Taxation Unit 4 at the Business Taxation Department, based in Nyköping. The unit currently has offices in thirteen locations and a total of approximately 200 employees distributed across eleven sections. In this position you should: independently plan and advance your work to achieve results be good at collaborating and supporting others to reach common goals speak and write simply and clearly have good communication skills with both our customers and your colleagues be able to analyze information flows, identify connections, and make decisions You should also have: a university degree of at least 180 university credits (120 credits) in economics, law, or other relevant university education for this position current and relevant work experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration It is desirable that you have current and relevant work experience with VAT matters. Good to Know The employment is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period. Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security vetting with background check under the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before the employment decision.
