The government's major education reform package places new demands on the qualifications and competencies of teachers and staff in preschools and schools. The Education Department in Piteå therefore faces many exciting challenges, and we are looking for someone who is resourceful, embraces challenges, and wants to contribute to a better everyday experience for children and students in our preschools and schools. With us, you will have a fulfilling role where you truly make a difference. The department has approximately 1,500 employees and is responsible for Piteå Municipality's preschools and schools. The Staffing Unit Competency planning is a central and prioritized future issue within the Education Department. To meet future needs, we are expanding the Staffing Unit with a new position: Staffing Coordinator. The Staffing Unit within the Education Department works with the department's substitute pool, which consists of approximately 140 employees. The unit currently has two administrators who handle both recruitment to the pool and staffing the department's operations with substitutes for both short-term and long-term needs across all of the municipality's preschools and schools. The Staffing Unit is currently embarking on an exciting development journey with the goal of further strengthening and streamlining our strategic work and finding new ways to achieve successful and sustainable competency planning across the entire department. In this work, the Staffing Coordinator will have a central role with significant responsibility. Responsibilities As a Staffing Coordinator, you will be part of the Staffing Unit and report directly to the Operations Manager for Finance and Planning. You will have a central and strategically important role in ensuring long-term and sustainable competency planning within the Education Department. With a comprehensive holistic perspective, you will contribute to developing and coordinating the department's work in this area. As a Staffing Coordinator, you will: analyze future competency needs and drive recruitment strategies for staff within the Education Department plan and implement strategies for employee professional development lead processes and develop materials for the Education Department's competency planning work work closely with principals, HR, and external partners to strengthen the school's attractiveness as an employer the position also includes presenting both strategic and operational competency planning matters to the department's management team and the political board, as well as representing the Education Department in various cross-municipal working groups. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is positive and service-oriented, and who enjoys meeting new people. You have a strong ability to see the big picture, build relationships, and appreciate a role where you can combine operational work with strategic thinking. To succeed in this assignment, you are self-directed, organized, and take clear responsibility for your work. You have: relevant higher education or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer experience in recruitment or HR work, preferably within the public sector strong ability to analyze needs, identify connections, and drive processes forward good system skills and an organized work approach ability to work independently and take responsibility for your assignment It is advantageous if you have knowledge of labor law and experience working with competency planning.
