About the Job You'll start with simpler cases and gradually take on responsibility for more complex tasks. You'll work on handling and investigating cases that vary in scope and complexity. This involves analyzing and assessing different types of documentation. You'll request supplementary information by phone or mail from companies. Using laws and regulations as your foundation, you'll assess the documentation and make decisions. Some cases are straightforward and quick, while others require more time. You'll work with either VAT, business registration, or income tax. The international field is suitable both for those who want to develop toward more complex investigations and for those who want to build knowledge in international taxation. This area differs in several ways from work with domestic companies. Here, information is rarely easily accessible, communication channels and language are different. There's a greater need to structure and drive the investigation yourself. These very circumstances make this area a clear developmental step. You'll train your analytical abilities, your methodology, and your capacity to make sound assessments even when documentation is incomplete. The work is varied and complex—there are rarely straightforward answers. You plan your own workday and manage your cases both independently and in collaboration with others. You work closely with your team colleagues and support one another. The work involves investigations, extensive client contact, and communication with other authorities. If interested, you can also participate in various improvement and development projects alongside your regular duties. You have flexible working hours, and work-life balance is a priority for us. You'll be located in Sundbyberg in the Corporate Tax Department and will be part of the Corporate Tax Unit 1, which has approximately 220 employees distributed across Sundbyberg, Malmö, Kristianstad, and Karlskrona. About You To do a good job and thrive at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be receptive, think creatively, and take responsibility. In this work, sound judgment and understanding of legal security and safety are important. You must also comply with our employee policy. In this role, you should: independently plan and drive your work forward to achieve results have a structured approach and good delivery capability be excellent at collaborating and supporting others to reach common goals speak and write clearly and simply in both Swedish and English be able to analyze information flows, see connections, and make decisions. You should also have: a university degree of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits) in economics, law, or other relevant higher education within the field It's an advantage if you have current experience of similar work at the Swedish Tax Agency or another government agency. It's also beneficial to have current experience with investigation work. Good to Know The employment is permanent and may begin with a probationary period of six months. Employment at the Swedish Tax Agency may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before the employment decision.
