As a Tax Compliance Specialist for Business Taxation, you have a varied and educational role involving investigations and numerous contacts. Discover a multifaceted assignment! About the Role You will handle and investigate cases that vary in scope and complexity. This means you analyze and assess different types of documentation. You request additional information via phone, mail, and digital mailboxes in contact with businesses. With the support of laws and regulations, you assess the documentation and make decisions. Some cases are straightforward and quick while others take more time. You work either with VAT, business registration, business taxation, or with multiple areas simultaneously. You plan your own workday and manage your cases both independently and in collaboration with others. You work closely with your colleagues and you give and receive support from one another. The work is specialized and you learn and gain new knowledge both broadly and in depth. If interested, you can also participate in various improvement and development projects alongside your regular duties. You have flexible working hours and it is self-evident to us that you maintain a balance between work and leisure. You will be part of Unit 1 of the Business Taxation Department, with placement in Malmö. The unit has approximately 220 colleagues and we are located in Malmö, Kristianstad, Karlskrona, and Stockholm. The unit is responsible for business taxation of small and medium-sized enterprises. On our unit, we work with cases involving both national and international matters, and the work involves contacts both within and outside Sweden. About You To do a good job and thrive at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be attentive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. Sound judgment and understanding of legal certainty and security are important in this role. You should also live up to our employee policy. In this role, you should: - independently plan and drive your work forward to achieve results - have the ability and willingness to learn new things, be flexible and open to change - speak and write clearly and simply in Swedish and English - be excellent at collaborating and supporting others to reach common goals - be able to analyze information flows, identify connections, and make decisions You should also have: - higher education of at least 180 credits (120 credits) in economics or law - current and relevant experience working in economics, law, or investigations It is desirable that you have current experience working with taxation. Good to Know The position is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period. Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security vetting with criminal record check in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment.
