About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is expanding – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking more employees. We are the authority responsible for correctional facilities, probation services, remand prisons, and inmate transportation. Hall Correctional Facility is located just outside Södertälje. The largest occupational group is correctional officers, but the facility also employs administrative staff, educators, production managers, and others. In addition to regular units, the facility has specialized units for inmates with special needs and one of the country's three high-security units. Inmates are engaged in activities such as education, treatment programs, work operations, and other structured activities (ASV) that include creative pursuits, crafts, cultivation, and health. Your assignment includes making assessments based on applicable regulations, guidelines, and practices. You ensure that inmates' requests for reconsideration are handled correctly and lawfully, and you provide advice and support on matters concerning visits, telephone access, and mail handling. You may handle crime victim matters and work closely with the facility's BOS handler. Ongoing documentation is part of your duties, and other administrative tasks may also occur. You will have frequent contact and cooperation with other staff within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service as well as with other authorities and organizations. Qualifications We are looking for someone who works well with others and takes responsibility for your tasks. You have the ability to see the big picture, weigh complex information, and consider various factors. You demonstrate sound judgment and integrity in your statements, actions, and decisions. IT proficiency and strong skills in using Swedish language both orally and in writing are essential to meet the requirements for documentation in public operations. Knowledge of other languages is an asset. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for someone who has: Complete upper secondary school competence in the form of final grades or upper secondary school diploma. Experience in case management, investigation work, and/or decision-making, preferably from the justice system. Good knowledge of KVR. Good IT skills. Ability to express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish. It is also meritorious to have: The Swedish Prison and Probation Service's basic training. Experience in cooperating with relevant actors, such as other authorities. Experience in decision-making regarding telephone and visits matters. Good knowledge of the Administrative Procedure Act.
