As a population registration officer, you have a varied and educational job that involves investigation and many contacts. Help us make society function! About the job You work with handling and investigating cases that vary in scope and complexity. This involves analyzing and assessing different types of documentation. In your daily work, you meet people from different backgrounds and request additional information via phone, mail, and digital mailboxes in your contact with private individuals and other government agencies. With the support of laws and regulations, you assess the documentation and make decisions. Some cases are straightforward and quick while others take more time. The content of the work is determined based on the department's needs. You plan your own workday and manage your cases both independently and in cooperation with others. You work closely with your colleagues and you give and receive support from each other. You learn and gain new knowledge both broadly and in depth. If you're interested, you can also participate in various improvement and development projects alongside your regular tasks. You have flexible working hours and it is self-evident to us that you should have balance between work and leisure. You belong to population registration section 1 or 2 at the Population and Property Unit 5 within the Population and Property Department. Your workplace is in Luleå. In this job, you should: – independently plan and drive your work forward to achieve results – be good at collaborating and supporting others to reach common goals – have excellent communication with both our customers and your colleagues – be goal-focused and contribute to achieving the department's objectives – have the ability and willingness to learn new things, be flexible, and open to change – be able to speak and write clearly and simply in both Swedish and English – be able to analyze information flows, see connections, and make decisions You should also have: – a university degree of at least 180 credits (120 credits) in law or other relevant university education for the position, or alternatively several years of current and relevant work experience in case handling within public administration It is desirable that you have current and relevant work experience in case handling in the form of in-depth investigation/control from public administration. Good to know The employment is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period. Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our work tasks in security classification, Swedish citizenship is required.
