Do you want to work in a role where your knowledge of work capacity, rehabilitation, and insurance medical assessments makes a real difference? We are now seeking two caseworkers for the Economic Assistance and Integration Division in Haninge Municipality. These positions are part of our development work based on the new social services legislation and the new activity requirement within economic assistance. As legislation increasingly focuses on self-sufficiency and individuals' work capacity, social services plays a more important role in assessing rehabilitation needs, analyzing medical documentation, and coordinating measures with other actors. Therefore, we are now strengthening the operation with specialized expertise in this area. About the job As a caseworker, you will have a central role in working with people who have illness, mental health issues, neuropsychiatric disabilities, or other health-related obstacles to work. The focus of the assignment is on: assessing medical certificates and other insurance medical documentation, investigating work capacity and rehabilitation needs, assessing whether the individual can participate in activities, work, or rehabilitative measures, initiating and driving rehabilitation processes, coordinating measures with the Social Insurance Agency, healthcare, the Employment Agency, and other actors, calling and coordinating SIP meetings, investigating and assessing the right to economic assistance. You will be an important resource within the operation and contribute to ensuring individuals receive the right measures, correct compensation, and appropriate rehabilitation at the right time. We see the activity requirement as an opportunity to earlier identify rehabilitation needs and coordinated measures so that more individuals can achieve work, studies, or other long-term self-sufficiency. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: - University degree in behavioral science, rehabilitation science, social science, or other education that the employer deems equivalent - Experience assessing medical certificates, work capacity, and other insurance medical documentation - Good knowledge of the social insurance system - Strong ability to express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish Meritorious - Experience from the Social Insurance Agency with work in insurance medical assessments, sick leave insurance, or rehabilitation, experience with public authority work within economic assistance. Your competence You are analytical, thorough, and confident in your assessments. You have an interest in the relationship between health, work capacity, and livelihood and enjoy working with complex cases where collaboration is essential for success. You have the ability to create structure, drive processes forward, and build good relationships with both individuals and collaboration partners. At the same time, you have a professional and legally secure approach to your public authority work. Great weight will be placed on personal qualities. Employment can only take place after an acceptable police clearance certificate has been obtained. During the summer period weeks 27 to 32, response times may be longer than usual.
