The assignment involves making decisions in individual client matters based on delegation, quality-assuring decisions in relation to laws, regulations and handbooks, and quality-assuring language and other formalities. The work includes serving as secretary at community corrections decision meetings and supporting staff in developing decisions and decision documents, as well as coaching in client matters. As a Decision Support Officer, you are also a representative in the supervision board and you manage case distribution to the case handlers. The role further includes leading community corrections collegial meetings and actively participating in legal affairs forums/practice forums. In dialogue with your manager and other colleagues, you will also identify needs for and propose structures for how work can be conducted in the best way. Qualifications We are seeking someone with experience working in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service and solid knowledge of administrative law, experience working with legal decisions and handling government matters. You should also have experience with supervisory or coaching tasks. To succeed in this role, you need to be organized, able to plan and meet deadlines as the work can involve a high pace during certain periods. You should be able to express yourself well orally and in writing, and you need to be flexible, which means you should be able to plan and prioritize your work and drive your processes forward. Furthermore, you need to work well with other people, listen and communicate clearly, and ensure that messages are understood and expectations are clear for all parties involved. We also want you to have a coaching approach, have a holistic perspective, and look out for the best interests of the operations. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect you and others. We are seeking someone who has: • A complete bachelor's degree with a focus on, for example, criminology, law, behavioral science, or a social work degree. • Good experience with Community Corrections operations. • Good experience handling government matters. • Good knowledge of administrative law. • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is meritorious if you have: • Experience working with legal decisions. • Experience in supervision case handling. • Experience with investigation work in community corrections. • Experience with supervisory or coaching tasks. • Experience in the role of Decision Support Officer.
