Help us make society function! About the Role Within international personal taxation, you'll handle and investigate cases that vary in scope and complexity. This area primarily covers earned income and investment income. As a specialist, you're responsible for determining how your client's tax situation should be managed—both substantively and practically—according to domestic law and tax treaties, as well as regarding pension-qualifying income. In your work, you analyze and assess various types of documentation, often foreign documents. Using applicable laws and regulations, you evaluate the material and make decisions. During certain periods, tax guidance is part of your duties, which means answering tax questions from individuals via phone and providing guidance on how to best use our digital services. We work in teams, and you'll be part of a team where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and colleague support are essential aspects of daily work. Together, the team fulfills its mission and works closely together, while you have significant personal responsibility for managing your cases. The work is sophisticated, and you'll gain new knowledge both in breadth and depth. The role involves extensive client contact, and an important part of your mission is to provide clients with the best conditions to do the right thing in the future. You have flexible working hours, and work-life balance is a priority for us. You'll be part of the Personal Tax Department and work at Personal Tax Unit 1, based in Skellefteå, Umeå, or Örnsköldsvik. It is desirable that you have current and relevant work experience handling cases within other public sector operations, accounting firms, insurance companies, or banks within the last two years, or current and relevant work experience in case handling at the Swedish Tax Agency within the last five years. It is also desirable that you have completed higher education credits in tax law. Good to Know The position is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period. Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with record check under the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before an employment decision is made.
