The Position and Your Responsibilities As a teacher, you are an important part of helping Botkyrka Municipality become Sweden's best school municipality, where students succeed in school and develop according to their unique abilities. In your role, you will conduct language-developing instruction that engages students, along with related tasks such as preparation and follow-up for instruction and grading. You will be part of the middle school teaching team and actively work with the team toward common goals with a solution-focused approach. You contribute to collegial collaboration by being curious, humble, and always keeping students' best interests in focus. Furthermore, you are a change agent in developing a good pedagogical and social learning environment. Together with your mentor colleague and other school staff, you will conduct regular needs assessments of your student groups and adjust instruction to meet student needs, following a structured and measurable change over time. Together, we focus on student learning! In this work, we need to collaborate across different professional roles at the school. You share our belief in active values-based work, where the school day is characterized by both inclusion and participation. You are also well aware that when our current methods don't lead to desired results, we must take responsibility for analyzing, adapting, and developing our instruction. With a strong sense of agency, you see opportunities to change and improve instruction based on student needs, so all students have the best possible conditions to develop as far as possible. Mentoring is a central part of your role through social interactions regarding students and classes, contact with guardians, absence management and development conversations, as well as collaboration with authorities and social services. In your role, you work with the student support team. You are expected to be able to work with digital tools in your instruction. About You Requirements: We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with credentials to teach Science, Technology, and Math in grades 6-9. You have experience and strong interest in teaching, are a secure and warm leader with an authoritative leadership style.
