At SISAB, you'll work in a company of public importance with a clear mission. As a leading player in school real estate, we create sustainable, safe, and long-term educational environments for Stockholm's children and young people.
In the role of Sustainability Strategist at SISAB, you're expected to work independently, take initiative, show drive, and be able to plan and execute your own projects. You're accustomed to prioritizing, making sound business decisions, finding the right level to achieve maximum impact, and acting as a specialist in the field. An important part of the work is collaboration with units and departments within SISAB, with other operations in the City of Stockholm, and with external stakeholders.
The position is located in our CEO's Office, which is responsible for operational planning, sustainability strategies, board matters, referrals, and communication and marketing issues. You report to the department head.
Your work tasks include, among others:
Drive, shape, develop, and coordinate the company's strategic sustainability work.
With expertise and knowledge in, for example, GRI, CSRD, and EU taxonomy, contribute to the development and monitoring of the company's sustainability goals and be responsible for the company's sustainability reporting.
Bring a strategic sustainability perspective to the company's various processes.
Ability to prioritize initiatives based on business value and impact, and be relationship-building with good collaboration skills.
Monitor and analyze changes in the external environment and assess how regulatory requirements affect the company in the short and long term.
Create synergies and learning in the sustainability field together with other administrations and companies within the City of Stockholm.
Represent SISAB on sustainability matters and communicate sustainability work both internally and externally.
Support the company's management by providing guidance on prioritized initiatives to achieve desired benefits and impacts in balance with the company's other goals.
We are currently located at Palmfelt Center in the Globen area and are moving in October 2026 to new premises next to Luma Park, Hammarby Sjöstad. Flexibility and the option to work from home are available, but we hope you'll primarily work from the office.
The position is a permanent full-time employment beginning with a six-month probationary period. Desired start as soon as possible, taking into account any notice period.
Who are you?
We're looking for someone who has:
Higher education with a focus on sustainability, urban development, or another relevant field
At least five years of experience with qualified work on sustainability issues and experience in independently taking initiative, analyzing, and developing sustainability matters.
Experience working with GRI. Knowledge of CSRD and EU taxonomy.
Responsibility for overall development of sustainability work, and if you have been a driving force in a sustainability-related network and/or have experience with sustainability work in the real estate and construction industry.
It's a merit if you have:
Worked within the City of Stockholm or have other experience that has given you good knowledge and understanding of the city's organization.
Previously worked in a politically governed organization. Competence in change management, CSRD reporting, and communication.
