Your Tasks As a teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, instruction, evaluation, and values-based work based on the curriculum. This position involves teaching Swedish and English in some of our programs. You will be part of two subject groups for Swedish and English respectively, where you collaborate with experienced colleagues. The position may also, based on your interests and expertise, involve being a subject group leader in Swedish. Your Workplace Anders Ljungstedts gymnasium (ALG) is a large school with approximately 1,100 students and 200 employees. Organizationally, the school consists of five principal areas with close collaboration on matters that create synergies in operations. It is easy to get to school, located just a short walk from Linköping's travel center, and there is plenty of parking. Getting here by city bus, bike, car, or commuting from Norrköping/Finspång also works well. The school offers eight national vocational programs, some of which are industry-certified, four introductory programs, five programs within adapted upper secondary school, municipal adult education in multiple professions and as adapted education, as well as vocational college education. About You First and foremost, we are looking for you who have teacher certification with authorization to teach Swedish and English in upper secondary school. Secondly, we are looking for you with completed teacher education for upper secondary school. Alternatively, you are nearing the end of your education to become a high school teacher. It is a merit if you have special education training, for example if you have taken courses or a program in special education. It is a requirement that you have experience working in curriculum-based schools through practice or as an employee. It is a merit if you have taught in upper secondary school for at least one school year. In your role as a high school teacher, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well familiar with the curriculum (Gy11/Gy25) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in Swedish language, both spoken and written. This is because, according to the curriculum (Gy11/Gy25), you should organize and conduct work so that the student receives support in language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your instruction to students and let them participate in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious way, you create good conditions for student development and learning, and you document it.
