The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. This position is a temporary contract for the school year 26/27 and involves teaching chemistry and biology. You will teach primarily in the high school's national programs: Science Program and Technology Program. Part of the position also involves teaching in introductory programs aimed at students not eligible for high school. The position also includes chemistry tutoring, supervision of chemistry and biology graduation projects, and mentoring. Your workplace Berzeliusskolan is a centrally located school in Linköping with modern facilities. It includes middle school upper grades, high school, and adapted high school. The high school comprises science and technology programs as well as an introductory program with a focus on language introduction and individual alternatives. In total, there are approximately 1900 students, of which over 1000 are in high school, and approximately 330 employees at the school. About you First and foremost, we are seeking someone with teacher certification with authorization to teach chemistry and biology in grades 7-9 and at the high school level. Secondly, we are seeking someone with completed high school teacher education. Alternatively, you are nearing the end of your high school teacher training. It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-guided school through internship or as an employee. It is advantageous if you have taught in the national programs at the high school or in the introductory program. In your role as a high school teacher, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well-acquainted with the curriculum (Gy11/Gy25) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is because, according to the curriculum (Gy11/Gy25), you should organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the instruction. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for student development and learning, and you document this.
