For 25 years, Gryning has provided residential care and open care services for children, youth and families, emergency and foster care, addiction treatment, supported housing, interventions against honor-related violence and oppression, and LSS residential care. We offer counseling and training and help with placements. Gryning is owned by municipalities in Västra Götaland through four municipal federations. The Honor & Protection Unit offers, on behalf of social services, to investigate and assess protection needs and provide protection and care to individuals who need placement due to external threats. Our primary target group is young people aged 14-18 who are subjected to or at risk of honor-related violence and oppression. These young people are placed in our protected residential care facility. We also have the ability to offer protection to adults in our apartments throughout Skaraborg, where the reason for the protection need can vary, from honor-related issues to intimate partner violence, gang-related crime, or other types of crime. We are now seeking a new colleague for a permanent position at our protected residential care facility. You will be one of 4 treatment pedagogues working shifts with overnight duty at the residence. You will always work together with a colleague to support our protected young people in the evenings and at night. The position is 57%. Working hours are primarily scheduled between 7:30 PM and 8:30 AM with overnight duty between midnight and 8 AM. You work on a two-week schedule with two shifts every other week and 5 shifts every other week. The position is often possible to combine with studies or other part-time employment. Trial employment may be applied. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES What does the position involve? We work based on a milieu therapy approach. As a treatment pedagogue on overnight duty, your work tasks include care and supervision of the young people. In the evenings and at night, the focus is on maintaining safety, calm, and security. As a treatment pedagogue on overnight duty, you need to document in our documentation system. Acute situations may arise that you need to handle, such as incidents, medical visits, and you need to conduct a risk assessment based on the protection of the young person. You should be a trustworthy adult who can be available at night if the young person is, for example, anxious or sad. QUALIFICATIONS Who are you? We are looking for someone with at least two years of post-secondary education, or equivalent education, with a focus on social work, social pedagogy, or behavioral science. If you have experience working in residential care facilities, that is a merit. We expect you to be interested in other cultures, honor, and protection. We are looking for someone who is confident and stable and has the ability to create calm and security. You are responsible, have personal maturity and good self-awareness.
