Stockholm – our capital with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we're looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm. Skärholmen District Administration is one of Stockholm's 11 district administrations and encompasses the districts of Bredäng, Sätra, Skärholmen, and Vårberg. More than 1,000 employees work here for our 38,000 residents. We offer municipal services that we are proud of, and we have fantastic diversity. Welcome with your unique contribution! Welcome to Us We are now looking for an engaged and confident group leader within the investigation unit in social assistance for Skärholmen District Administration. Social Assistance at Skärholmen District Administration is in an exciting development phase where we are strengthening the conditions for close, clear, and present leadership. Within social assistance, we have recently implemented an organizational change where the former large unit has been divided into two units – a reception unit and an investigation unit. This change is a deliberate initiative aimed at creating better conditions for close management, good working environment, quality in case handling, and operational support to our employees. What We Offer We offer you good flexible working conditions, vacation exchange, wellness allowance, winter and summer working hours, favorable occupational pension, and the opportunity to work partially from home when work permits. Please read more about our benefits within Stockholm's city here. The administration office with citizen services is located at Skärholmen Center with proximity to subway and a shopping center with a wide range of restaurants, cafes, and shopping. A gym and swimming hall are located near the workplace, and annual passes can be purchased at a very favorable price. Your Role As a group leader, you have an important role in leading and supporting employees in daily work and contribute to creating structure, engagement, and direction in operations. You will, among other things: - provide support and guidance in daily work - lead and distribute work within the group - support employees in complex matters and assessments - contribute to lawful, equitable, and quality case handling - follow up on work and contribute to achieving operational goals - create conditions for learning, development, and experience sharing - contribute to a good working environment and positive work climate - together with the management group, drive and develop the organization's working methods. As a group leader, you are an important link between employees and management. You are expected to be present in the operations, identify needs, and create clarity in daily work. You need to be able to combine structure and stability with a coaching and solution-oriented approach. We are now at an important stage where the organization and working methods have the opportunity to establish themselves. Here you have the opportunity to influence and help shape how we will work together going forward. Your Competence and Experience We are looking for you with a degree in social work and experience working within social assistance, as well as a good understanding of the prerequisites and complexity of public authority. You are confident in your profession and have the ability to create trust and engagement around you. You are clear in your communication, structured in your approach, and work well in collaboration. We would like to see that you have experience leading, coordinating, or mentoring colleagues. It is important that you thrive in a role where you both need to take responsibility for daily operations and at the same time look ahead and contribute to the organization's development. You don't need to have all the answers. However, you need to have the courage to make decisions, the ability to listen, and the willingness to develop both people and operations. Welcome with your application. Stockholm's city works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
