Welcome to us The Adult and Disability Services department is one of six areas within the Social Services division of the Central Stockholm district administration. The department consists of 52 employees and is divided into four units: the Adult Unit, the Social Psychiatry Unit, and two Disability Units. We strive to maintain high accessibility and good treatment of our users, collaboration partners, and each other. We encourage development work and would like all employees to contribute to improving our operations. For the Adult Unit, we are now seeking a new group leader as the current one is moving on to new challenges within the city. You will be the immediate supervisor for seven ambitious social workers in the area of substance abuse and addiction, and four equally ambitious social workers in the area of intimate partner violence. We do not have a separate intake office for new cases; instead, this is handled through a rotating intake telephone within each group. You will work closely with the unit manager in an organization characterized by present leadership and active employee involvement. The Adult Unit is a department where major change work is underway, and you will have an important role together with the employees and unit manager in this work. We do it together! We are located in fresh office space in a landscape layout in Garnisonen with proximity to Karlaplan and the recreation area Djurgården. We apply flexible hours as well as winter and summer working hours. The possibility exists for vacation exchange, which means you exchange your vacation allowance for extra days off. As an employee, you are offered a wellness contribution of 3,000 kronor per year. Your role The group leader's role involves: - Leading and distributing the daily work for the unit's social workers, which also means providing support and help with prioritization when needed - Being a decision-maker according to current delegation, which applies to the majority of decisions made within the unit - Participating in budget follow-ups together with the unit manager and controller - Conducting case discussions and methodology meetings with the social workers - Holding methodology meetings and updating procedures - Conducting introductions for new employees and ensuring they are integrated into the work together with a designated mentor and unit manager - Maintaining close collaboration and frequent check-ins with the unit manager Your competence and experience We are looking for someone who has: - A degree in social work or other education that the employer considers equivalent - Solid experience in case handling in both the area of substance abuse and addiction and intimate partner violence - Training in Motivational Interviewing - Strong interest in change work It is an advantage if you have: - Previous experience in leadership - Knowledge and experience of the city's social systems, the umbrella system As a group leader, you contribute to a work environment that promotes engagement and participation.
