Do you want to be part of developing the future of open care for children, young people, and families?
Dialogen is in an exciting phase of development where the new social services law and an expanded mandate to conduct more open care in-house create new opportunities to develop support for children, young people, and families. We are now looking for a group leader who wants to lead this work together with us.
With us, you will have an important and operations-focused group leader role where you have the opportunity to influence, develop, and create good conditions for both employees and operations.
About the workplace
Dialogen is one of five units within Children and Family and is organized under the Children and Education Administration in Falun Municipality.
At Dialogen, family therapists, group leaders, and a unit manager work together to provide support services to children, young people, and families. The operations offer both advice and support without individual needs assessment as well as family treatment interventions following assistance decisions. The mission also includes collaboration with family centers and counseling services for children and young people as well as the implementation of group activities for parents, children, and young people.
In our work, we always focus on the child's best interest. We work from a systemic perspective where we consider the entire family's situation and together with families create conditions for positive and sustainable change.
A good work environment is important to us. We value collaboration, participation, and collegial support and strive to create a workplace where we develop together and have fun at work. With us, you will meet engaged colleagues, close collaboration, and a shared focus on making a difference for the children, young people, and families we encounter.
Work tasks
As a group leader, you will share responsibility with a colleague group leader for leading, coordinating, and developing the work for a group of family therapists that grows as the operations develop. The group currently consists of approximately 17–20 employees.
You are responsible for daily management and work closely with operations by leading and distributing work, holding case conferences and group meetings, and receiving, prioritizing, and distributing incoming assignments. The assignments consist of both assistance-assessed interventions and advice and support services.
You participate in Dialogen's management group together with the unit manager and colleague group leader and actively contribute to the operations' planning, development, and follow-up. The role also includes monitoring operational results and statistics, contributing to internal competence development, and developing and structuring the operations' group interventions for children, young people, and parents.
The work involves extensive collaboration with the social services authority's child and family services as well as with schools, child and student health services, and other important collaborating partners.
As a group leader, you will have a central role in the ongoing development work where Dialogen strengthens and develops open care interventions to meet future needs.
Qualifications
The role requires:
A degree in social work (Socionom)
Experience working in social services' child and family operations
Experience with open care work, family treatment, or another role that has provided good knowledge of open care's mission, working methods, and collaboration with authority functions
Good ability to express yourself in Swedish orally and in writing
Category B driver's license
Personal qualities
To succeed in this role, you need to be a secure and stable person who builds trust through your way of collaborating and communicating. You are clear in your management role and have a strong ability to plan, structure, and prioritize work as well as drive processes forward even when the pace is high. You have a solution-focused approach, make well-founded assessments, and handle challenges in a constructive way.
You find it easy to build and maintain good relationships and collaborate professionally with both colleagues and external partners. You are attentive, unpretentious, and contribute to a good work climate through respectful treatment. Through your way of communicating and creating collaboration, you foster engagement, participation, and people working toward common goals.
We are looking for someone who sees opportunities in change, has the ability to adapt to new circumstances, and who wants to be part of developing the operations together with employees and management.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
