Would you like to combine leadership, social work, and a clear commitment to quality and legal compliance? We are now seeking a group leader primarily for the reception unit, but other supervisory roles within the child and youth authority may also be relevant.
The reception unit is part of the social services' first line and is responsible for receiving, assessing, and handling incoming welfare reports and applications concerning children and young people, as well as cases involving domestic violence. The work is conducted in close cooperation with other parts of social services and external actors such as schools, regional authorities, police, and civil society.
As a group leader, you will provide close operational leadership and serve as daily support for social workers and other staff members at the reception unit. You will work closely with the unit manager and other group leaders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- leading, distributing, and following up on the daily work of the group
- providing methodological and case support in case handling
- ensuring legally compliant and high-quality case processing according to applicable legislation
- contributing to clear procedures, structure, and a sustainable work environment
- introducing and supporting new employees
- cooperating internally and externally in complex cases
- participating in development and improvement work, including initiatives related to the new social services act

Qualifications
- Degree in social work (socionom)
- Good experience with public authority work concerning children and young people
- Good knowledge of the social services act and relevant legislation
- Experience with or interest in supervisory work
- Excellent communication skills in speech and writing
Meritorious
- Experience working with domestic violence
- Previous assignments as group leader, coordinator, or similar
- Experience in reception work or initial assessments
