The Social Services Administration of the City of Stockholm has an overarching and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and the disability sector. Here we create favorable conditions for meeting residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equal and knowledge-based social service with a strong development focus. Within the administration, a wide range of support services are offered to the city's residents, and the services change based on the needs of Stockholm residents and the district administrations' requests. The work often takes place in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society and the business sector. The Social Services Administration is also responsible for the city's food and tobacco permits and performs supervision. Welcome to us We are now looking for a group leader for the Strengthened Support activity, the unit Support for Foster Care and Adoptive Families. Strengthened support for foster care includes Duvnäs, Mentor Families, Intensive Guidance and guidance individually or in groups. The work involves managing six family counselors who work with strengthened support for foster care and adoptive families. We offer on-call and foster care guidance in groups or individually, support regarding interaction and attachment, intensive guidance and Mentor Families. We are part of the Support for Foster Care and Adoptive Families unit together with the Skolfam activity. Skolfam consists of six psychologists and six special education teachers who, together with the city's foster care secretaries and child secretaries, monitor the schooling of children in foster care. You will have a unit manager as your direct manager and collaborate with two group leader colleagues at the sister unit On-Call and Foster Care Stockholm. Your role The role as group leader means that you: • manage and support employees in daily work around assessments, decisions and work at the unit. • take responsibility for individual case discussions with employees and identify employee strengths and how they enjoy their work, then follow up this together with the unit manager who has personnel responsibility. • lead and distribute work, such as cases and other work-related tasks. • actively work with change initiatives internally and within the city • strive to achieve together with the work team the goals that have been jointly set for the activity. You will also be responsible for reporting the work team's statistics, assisting with survey work and follow-up of these. • take responsibility for introducing new employees together with colleagues. • convene the group's weekly meetings and joint planning days. Together with the work team you manage planning during absences and ensure that daily work continues without interruption. • are a representative of the activity in various cooperation groups in agreement with the unit manager. You are also the face of the activity at joint meetings with the districts and other external contacts and networks. Your competence and experience For this position you must have: • Degree in social work (socionomexamen) • five years of current experience in exercising municipal authority in the field of children and young people • experience in management within family care, social services • training and/or experience in supervising on-call and foster families • good knowledge of the needs of children in placement • good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written It is meriting if you have: • work experience from the City of Stockholm • further training in leadership Other information The area of on-call and foster care and short-term stay is part of the Social Services Administration's department for social support. The area is a city-wide resource that provides services related to children and young people who are placed as well as strengthened support for on-call and foster families and adoptive parents.
