Gislaveds Municipal Social Services is now seeking a group leader for the Authority Unit for Children and Families. The unit consists of a unit manager, 3 group leaders, and 27 social workers. We are looking for a group leader for authority, investigations, and reception. We are in an exciting development phase where an internal organizational change means that the current reception function will be transferred to the adult unit and become part of a shared reception. This means that as a group leader, you can have full focus on investigations and interventions. We want to be a workplace where our employees feel good, are healthy, and develop. Responsibilities Provide case management guidance, work supervision, and coaching to employees in their daily work. Stay updated on current BBIC case handling. Distribute cases within the team and have an overview of current workload. Provide extra support in difficult and complex cases. Conducted development work together with the unit manager. Present cases before the Social Board, if needed together with the case handler. Present cases in Administrative Court and Court of Appeal. Together with the unit manager, ensure that internal and external cooperation functions properly. Together with the unit manager, monitor developments in legislation, methodological issues, precedent cases, and more. Plan and organize external supervision. Assist in recruiting new employees. Responsible for introducing new employees and together with the unit manager plan competence development for staff. Assist the unit manager with work environment issues. Make decisions according to current delegation. Qualifications You are educated as a social worker or have equivalent education that according to Section 25, Chapter 1 of the Social Services Act (2025:400) is deemed equivalent. You have good knowledge of legislation and authority work, and have some experience with authority work in children and young people. You have good communication skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You have the ability to analyze complex problems, see the long-term significance and further consequences of matters, and adapt your actions accordingly. You see possibilities in changes and contribute with new ideas and new approaches to operational issues. You see operations from a holistic perspective, can connect the whole and the parts, the future and the present. We want you to be able to take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. You also have the ability to structure your work independently and prioritize among the tasks you need to perform by focusing on the right things when there is a lot happening around you.
