Job Description As a manager in the IT department, you will have the opportunity to develop as a leader in one of the country's largest government agencies. In your role as group manager, you have overall responsibility for personnel, operations, and budget for a group of approximately 15 employees. You will lead a group of IT technicians who work close to operations and focus on increasing digital maturity by, for example, acting as advisors, providing guidance, serving, and supporting staff regarding the IT department's services and our IT deliverables, as well as contributing IT expertise in the real estate area in connection with Kriminalvården's expansion. You are responsible for IT processes related to digital meeting services in connection with our IT deliverables to core operations. You ensure the operational need for close IT support and are responsible for nurturing and developing important relationships. You bring the customer perspective to both operations and back into the IT department. Your leadership role will form an important interface between the IT department and core operations. Our IT staff is located at multiple locations across the country, and you will have employees placed throughout the Gothenburg area, which means travel is part of the role. You are a role model who engages and leverages your employees' initiatives. You are responsible for the group's continuous improvement and change work and participate in creating an attractive workplace with a good work environment. A major focus is on developing personnel and creating clarity in working methods and assignments. You collaborate locally, regionally, and nationally with your management colleagues and are part of the section's management group. Qualifications We are seeking someone with strong planning ability. You can identify and analyze needs and assess the effects of implementing changes in assignments and place these in a broader context. You remain calm and professional even in demanding situations and have the ability to work persistently despite changing work demands until results are achieved. You have personal maturity and are unpretentious and flexible in your actions. Furthermore, you are communicative and build contacts and commitment in collaborations. To thrive and succeed in your assignment, it is important that you share Kriminalvården's fundamental values of a humane perspective on people, respect for the individual, and belief in human development. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect you and others. We are seeking someone with: Academic education/university degree of at least 120 credits equivalent to 2 years at a university within areas that Kriminalvården considers relevant, or alternatively other education in combination with experience that Kriminalvården considers relevant Experience from operations-focused assignments with connections to IT delivery and development of IT services within public administration, preferably from core operations or from an entity adjacent to the authority's core operations Experience working as a manager with personnel and budget responsibility within IT service and IT support Experience leading assignments, teams, and deliverables for a larger geographic area Experience working with delivery responsibility and delivery contacts for IT within public administration or larger complex organizations Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish It is also meritorious to have: Documented leadership training Experience as an IT technician Experience from Kriminalvården's main operational areas such as prison, remand center, and probation service Other Information Kriminalvården has chosen to remove the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions relevant to the position.
