Knowledge Security Joy Eriksdal School is an F-9 school on Södermalm with proximity to both the pulse of the city and beautiful natural areas. The school is vibrant with approximately 1000 students in grades F-9, of which about 60 students attend the adapted primary school. We have spacious and functional facilities, a fantastic schoolyard with access to an artificial grass field, ice skating rink, and Eriksdalsbadet in our immediate area. Eriksdal School's Adapted Primary School is an educational program for students with intellectual disabilities, often in combination with additional disabilities (such as ASD, physical movement disabilities, ADHD). Our facilities are adapted to accommodate students in all need groups. Eriksdal School's Adapted Primary School students are currently divided into 10 classes. Students study subjects and/or subject areas according to the curriculum for adapted primary school. Many students need their own educator with them throughout the day, both at school and in after-school care. Students are taught both individually and in groups. We use clarifying pedagogy combined with other evidence-based methods to provide our students with the most favorable conditions for learning and development. Your main area of responsibility is to lead the pedagogical work during after-school hours and be the direct supervisor for student assistants. An important part is to take responsibility, create participation in the work group, and follow up and revise procedures in the operations. Work tasks vary throughout the school year, and you will be responsible for after-school activities for our students over 12 years old (KTT - short-term supervision for school youth over 12 years old). Qualifications We're looking for someone with an academic degree such as social worker, behaviorist, personnel specialist, recreation pedagogue, or other education that the employer deems equivalent and relevant for the assignment. Leadership education and education about intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder are merits. We're looking for someone with extensive knowledge and experience in adapted primary school, intellectual disabilities, neuropsychiatric disabilities, and other disabilities, such as movement disabilities or blindness. You also need to possess knowledge of clarifying pedagogy and low-affect interaction. It is meritorious if you have education and knowledge in alternative communication methods, such as TAKK and PECS, as well as PBS. In addition, it is necessary that you have held a leadership position at previous workplaces and that you are experienced and comfortable leading groups and having personnel responsibility. Since our students have communication difficulties, you need to have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You are a present person who leads and motivates employees in daily work. We're looking for someone who sees the bigger picture and considers the broader perspective. You are self-directed and flexible. You are a straightforward and open person with good structure and you are equipped with initiative and drive.
