Main Duties
The position of group commander is located at the regiment's security squadron, which is functionally led by K 3 Security Department. The security squadron maintains general order and security within Karlsborg Garrison and is responsible for the protection and security of the Swedish Armed Forces' protected objects and operations. The security squadron consists of a rapid response protection unit and a standby unit.
In your role as group commander, you lead the operations and standby soldiers that make up the standby unit. You and your group, together with the rapid response protection unit, carry out the tasks assigned to the security squadron related to protection, security, and maintaining readiness within the garrison. The position primarily involves routine work in protection and security, such as patrolling protected objects, securing protected objects, access control, protecting transports, etc. However, linked to the readiness that must be maintained, other protection and security tasks may also become relevant.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Completed military basic training with satisfactory results
Trained security guard
Driver's license, at least category B (manual transmission)

Other Information
Employment Type: Fixed-term employment under the "Agreement on Fixed-term Employment with Continuous Service for Group Leaders, Soldiers, and Sailors in the Swedish Armed Forces". Employment period 8 years, with the possibility of extension to 12 years.
Employment Level: Full-time. Shift work and irregular hours, both day and night.
Work Location: Karlsborg, travel on duty occurs.
Start Date: By agreement.

Life Regiment Hussars, K 3, has rapid and effective units and extensive experience in the intelligence field. K 3 trains a ranger battalion and an intelligence battalion. The ranger battalion is a highly mobile unit that should be able to be the first to respond to an operation. The intelligence battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, personnel on the ground, and unmanned aerial systems (RPAS). At K 3, there is also the Swedish Armed Forces' survival school and the Flight Unit, which is responsible for remotely piloted aircraft systems and military parachute service.
