We are looking for a Group Manager IT Management and Architecture who wants to combine leadership, business development, and technology in a role where you have significant influence over both today's and tomorrow's IT environment. You will become a key person in creating a modern, sustainable, and business-focused IT landscape that supports Uppsala Vatten's entire development. About the Role As Group Manager IT Management and Architecture, you will lead a team of approximately seven specialists with expertise in system management and IT architecture. You are responsible for developing both people, working methods, and governance, while creating good conditions for collaboration between the business and IT. You are part of the IT section with approximately 25 employees that is expected to grow in the coming years. You report to the IT Manager and participate with the IT Manager and two other group managers in the section's management group. There you actively contribute to developing and strengthening Uppsala Vatten's combined IT capabilities. The role entails full personnel and work environment responsibility and overall responsibility for IT management and IT architecture. You drive the development of our management model, our architecture principles, and visions for the IT landscape, and ensure that our technology choices support the business's long-term goals. An Important Role in Our Continued Digitalization In the coming years, we will face several major development initiatives and system changes. We are therefore looking for a leader who creates structure, direction, and long-term thinking. You will, among other things: • lead the team through clear, trust-based, and coaching leadership • create conditions for change, development, and new working methods • be the link between the business and IT and translate business needs into sustainable IT solutions • balance the business's need for rapid deliveries with long-term architecture choices • strengthen understanding of IT architecture, governance, and common working methods in the organization • contribute to clear roles, responsibilities, and effective collaboration within IT. Your Tasks In the role you will, among other things: • lead, coach, and develop a team of IT specialists with full personnel and work environment responsibility • plan, prioritize, and follow up on the team's work • further develop our management model and ensure efficient IT management according to PM3 • be responsible for overall IT architecture and contribute to a coherent and long-term sustainable IT landscape • identify and drive development and digitalization initiatives • set requirements and participate in procurements, system implementations, and major change projects • develop governance, collaboration, and working methods within the IT organization. You have good judgment, make well-founded decisions, and have the ability to prioritize even when conditions change. You analyze complex issues and translate them into sustainable solutions. With a service-oriented approach, you build good relationships and collaborate well with both business units, colleagues, and external parties. You communicate clearly and pedagogically and find it easy to explain technical issues in a way that creates understanding with different audiences. We are looking for you who have: • university education in computer science or systems science, or other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent • documented experience of leading employees • experience in IT architecture, including architecture principles, target architecture, and documentation according to established models • good experience of IT management in an established organization • ability to create good relationships and collaboration between different functions • good communication skills and experience explaining technical solutions to people without a technical background • understanding of information security, cybersecurity, IT security, and data protection (GDPR). It is an advantage if you have: • certification as an IT architect, for example via Dataföreningen or IASA • experience from municipal operations or other larger organization.
