Job Description As a group manager, you will distribute tasks, lead the work, and quality assure analyses and case preparations for decision-making. The group is responsible for emerging technologies and other strategically protected technologies. This responsibility includes collaboration with technical experts across different units at ISP as well as with other expert authorities and stakeholders. The group also works with outreach activities toward the research and innovation community. You will lead the review work together with other group managers. You are responsible for personnel management of a group consisting of case officers and analysts. You ensure that the case officers in your group have the resources needed to investigate matters, you quality assure analyses, and prepare cases for decision-making. In addition to your own analysts, you can borrow resources from other groups for individual cases. The work requires extensive collaboration to manage complex investigations that must be conducted under time pressure. The group stands out through strong teamwork and a great intellectual capacity to think outside the box. In your personnel and work environment responsibility, you are expected to contribute to the development of activities within your own group as well as for the entire unit. You will be part of the unit's management team together with the other group managers, deputy unit manager, and unit manager. Operations are characterized by a high degree of collaboration within the unit and through numerous external contacts with other authorities, municipalities, regions, and industry organizations. You will join a unit with engaged colleagues where development and Sweden's security are in focus. Qualifications Master's degree in engineering or other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent Managerial experience or other leadership experience Experience from a government agency with assignments within Sweden's foreign, defense, or security policy Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in English Meritorious Relevant experience with investigation and analysis Relevant experience with emerging technologies and/or strategically protected technologies Relevant experience with research, innovation, and access to advanced technology Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is confident in your leadership role and has the ability to create engagement by listening and understanding others' situations. About Employment at ISP The position is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date is by agreement. The position comes with an obligation to be mobilized for war. To work with us, Swedish citizenship is required. The position is classified for security purposes, and a security vetting with record check will be conducted before an employment decision is made.
