About the role As a group manager, you are responsible for leading and developing the group's operations in close collaboration with the unit manager and other colleagues within the unit. You exercise a coaching and present leadership that creates conditions for employees to develop, thrive, and perform. You work both operatively and strategically with the group's development and actively contribute to achieving business objectives. You will have a central role in initiating, leading, developing, and implementing research and development projects within advanced materials, batteries, binders, and surface chemistry. You work to identify new opportunities for collaboration and financing, and build long-term relationships with customers, partners, and funders. Furthermore, you also contribute to sales, business and project development, as well as the development of our laboratory environments and research infrastructure. You collaborate closely with colleagues at RISE and work to translate research results into benefits for business and society. You report to the unit manager and actively contribute to the unit's development through collaboration on matters relating to research, business, projects, customers, laboratory operations, and equipment. Requirements for the role • PhD in a field relevant to the position • Several years of professional experience in surface chemistry and advanced characterization • Established network within the surface chemistry field • Experience with mentoring and guidance • Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Meritorious for the role • Experience creating and driving large research projects • Ability to drive business processes and translate research results into practical benefit • Experience with budget responsibility • International professional experience Are we right for each other?
