Department of Business and Competence
Do you want to make a difference for people on their way toward financial independence, education, and integration? Do you have engaging leadership skills and experience in social work? Then you could be the group manager we're looking for.
To create a more unified and efficient operation, Support Services and Labor Market & Integration are now being brought together under joint leadership. The new organization is led by an operations manager with overall responsibility for all activities. As part of this change, we are now seeking group managers for each operational area to contribute to a coordinated and efficient support chain for our residents.
Your Responsibilities
As group manager for Återbruket, you are responsible for leading, developing, and monitoring the operation based on established goals. You have responsibility for operations, personnel, finances, and work environment, as well as responsibility for facilities in the area.
Återbruket is an operation where sustainability, social development, and work-oriented support meet. The operation offers meaningful activities, job training, and guidance for both young people and adults who need support on their way to work or education.
The operation encompasses a wide range of tasks, including:
• Retail sales
• Transportation and logistics
• Sorting and handling of reusable materials from the municipality's recycling centers
• Repair and restoration of materials
• Minor construction and maintenance projects
In this role, you lead an operation where practical work is combined with strong social work. You work closely with both staff and participants and ensure that the operation maintains high quality, is efficient, and offers a safe and developmental environment.
You report directly to the operations manager and are part of the department's management team together with the other group managers. The role involves close collaboration both internally and with external partners. As group manager, you play an important role in developing the operation and contributing to the formation and establishment of a new management team.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in behavioral science, social work, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have a strong commitment to people and are motivated by creating opportunities for individuals to develop and take the next step toward work or studies.
You have good knowledge of work environment issues and understand the importance of systematic work environment management, particularly in operations where machinery and equipment place high demands on safety and regulatory compliance.
It is advantageous if you have experience in management or supervisory roles and several years of experience in one or more operational areas.
To succeed in this role, you are a confident, solution-oriented, and action-oriented leader. You find it easy to build trusting relationships, create engagement, and collaborate with different groups. You are responsive, empathetic, and have a strong ability to coach and support both staff and participants in their development. As a person, you are organized, responsible, and self-directed.
You are a good role model and have the ability to combine clear leadership with an inclusive and respectful approach.
