About Stockholm ExergiWe are the energy company for Stockholm's residents, and through resource-efficient solutions, we secure the growing Stockholm region's access to heating, electricity, cooling, and waste management services. We provide heating to over 800,000 Stockholmers, and our 300-mile-long district heating network is the hub for the public benefits we create together with our customers and collaboration partners. We are owned by the City of Stockholm and Ankhiale, a consortium of leading European pension funds (APG, PGGM, Alecta, Keva, and AXA IM Alts), and we have over 800 employees who work every day to reduce Stockholm residents' climate impact.
About Our Facility for Carbon Capture
At Värtan, where our combined heat and power plant already produces sustainable electricity and heat from residual products such as wood chips, branches, and tops from the forest industry, we are now building a full-scale carbon capture facility to create even greater climate benefits.
Bio-CCS is a technology that captures biogenic carbon dioxide before it reaches the atmosphere and then stores it permanently in the bedrock, creating negative emissions since the carbon dioxide is separated from the biogenic cycle. Permanent negative emissions are the tool that can be used to counteract emissions that are difficult or impossible to eliminate. It is a necessary puzzle piece to reach climate goals and net-zero emissions. The facility will be able to capture up to 800,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year—more than what all of Stockholm's road traffic emits during the same period.
What Can We Offer You?
Do you want to take comprehensive control of facility lifecycles while leading the development of modern and efficient maintenance operations?
In your role as group manager, you are responsible for ensuring stable and optimized facility performance through structured and forward-thinking maintenance work. You work strategically with a time horizon of several years ahead and with continuous focus on balancing cost, risk, and performance. As part of the Engineering and Maintenance Group, you translate overarching goals into concrete activities and drive implementation together with your organization. You lead and develop maintenance work from a clear asset perspective where lifecycle optimization is central. You are responsible for planning and developing preventive maintenance while initiating and driving facility changes from need to completed solution.
You are also responsible for ensuring that operations deliver with high quality, good working environment, and strong delivery capability. You work actively with suppliers and procurement while ensuring that finances are balanced through budget responsibility and long-term forecasting. An important part of the role is analyzing facility history and status to enable data-driven decisions that strengthen facility development over time.
As a leader, you have personnel responsibility for a team of approximately 5–15 engineers. In your role as group manager, I want to see engaged leadership that strives to develop both individuals and working methods. You thrive in a role where you get to combine technology, structure, and leadership in an unpretentious work role. We offer a key position where you have significant influence over both strategy and operational delivery, with the opportunity to genuinely impact how future maintenance is conducted and how the facility's long-term value develops.
The position is a permanent employment and involves daytime work based at our facility in Högdalen.
Please note that work will take place in a classified security environment, so you will need to undergo a security clearance for this role.
Why Work With Me?
