We are united in our mission to understand, explain, and improve our world and people's conditions. MAX IV is now seeking a strategic and committed Group Manager for Access and Collaboration. Your Team MAX IV is organized in four divisions, with the Access and Collaboration department being part of the Administrative Division. The department serves as the first point of contact for national and international researchers, companies, and other stakeholders wishing to collaborate with MAX IV, and assists MAX IV leadership with comprehensive analyses and decision-making support. Access and Collaboration currently consists of 15 employees, including three team leaders. The teams have different areas of responsibility: User Office functions as a contact point for researchers interested in using MAX IV. The group is responsible for coordinating and developing the process for beamtime applications. Industrial Relations Office is responsible for supporting industrial users and promoting the facility to industry. Collaboration Office supports the establishment and implementation of collaboration initiatives at national and international levels, as well as handling legal matters. The unit also provides support to researchers in their work with project applications. Would you like to work at one of the world's brightest synchrotron radiation facilities? About the Role As a manager, you have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and coordinating the work within the department. Together with your team members, you coordinate support for MAX IV's users, whether they come from academia or industry, and work closely with MAX IV leadership on collaboration matters of various kinds. You will be part of the administrative leadership group and work together with your colleagues, both strategically and operatively, to contribute to the division's and MAX IV's overall goals. The assignment involves: Contributing to MAX IV's overall goals by developing collaboration and support for users Providing strategic and operational support to MAX IV leadership Personnel and work environment responsibility for the Access and Collaboration department Budget responsibility for the department, including planning and monitoring. To succeed in this role, you must have the following qualifications: Doctoral degree in a relevant field Experience as a manager with personnel and budget responsibility Experience working in an international environment Strong ability to collaborate with various stakeholders Very good language and communication skills in both Swedish and English, spoken and written. As a person, you are a responsive and communicative leader who finds it easy to collaborate and build relationships both internally and externally. You are structured and clear in your leadership. You can take a holistic perspective, but also have the ability to delve deeply into issues.
