Åkarp is a small community with proximity to Malmö and Lund as well as Alnarps inspiring natural environment. Åkarp has good communications by bus and train. We in Åkarp are looking for positive and engaged substitute teachers for our four schools from preschool class to grade 9.

JOB DUTIES
Are you interested in working as a substitute teacher in primary school grades 1-9 and after-school centers in Åkarp? Working as a substitute teacher means working individual hours or on shorter substitutions with short notice. During certain periods it can mean essentially full-time work. You should be able to step in with short notice when the school's staff is sick or on leave. We handle all short-term substitutions and it is through phone calls and via SMS that you receive work offers. You will have access to your own page on the internet where you enter the hours you have worked.
QUALIFICATIONS
For the primary school substitute bank we are primarily seeking academics with an interest in teaching, those of you who are trained or studying to become teachers. We are looking for you who are interested in substituting in grades 1-9.
We are also looking for you who want to work as a substitute within after-school centers.
You who are applying have a positive attitude, are flexible, and have a talent for collaboration and communication, and always keep the child at the center. The psychosocial work environment should be built on openness, collaboration, and curiosity. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Previous experience working with children and young people is an advantage but not a requirement.

According to the Education Act (2010:800), a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register is required to work in preschool activities, school, or school childcare. To start working as a substitute in preschool and school, you should request a certificate from the Police's criminal record register and present the original to us. The form is available on the Swedish Police Authority's website. Obtaining a certificate of good conduct can take about two weeks. If you manage to get the certificate before a possible interview, bring the original to the interview, otherwise you send the certificate in original to us when you receive it.
